Looking for an exceptional cultural event in Reims? The Luminiscence show, currently showing in the magnificent Basilique Saint-Remi, plunges you into a visual and sound universe unique in France. A blend of heritage, digital art and emotion, this immersive experience is one of the finest discoveries of the year.
An immersive show at the heart of Reims’ heritage
Combining 360° video mapping, 3D spatialized music and monumental lighting, Luminiscence Reims offers a striking rediscovery of the Basilica of Saint-Remi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The story, carried by a spellbinding narrative voice, guides you through four major tableaux:
Elevation of a chimera: from original chapel to Romanesque, then Gothic abbey.
Lumières et rayonnements: a vibrant tribute to the stained glass windows and coronations of the kings of France.
The echo of the ages: a thousand years of religious music and sound history.
Eternize: the basilica’s resurrection after the destruction of the First World War.
💡 Good to know: the show is open to all audiences, from locals to tourists visiting the Champagne region.

Spectacular sound and light immersion
One of the great strengths of Luminiscence is its spatialized soundtrack, which literally envelops visitors. Thanks to a state-of-the-art technical device, the sounds move around the nave, creating a sensation of depth rarely achieved in this type of show.
Every Friday and Saturday, local choirs perform live classical works under the direction of conductor Nicolas Renaux – a unique performance that is a must-see.

Why visit the Basilique Saint-Remi in Reims?
As well as the spectacle, the Basilique Saint-Remi is well worth a visit in its own right. Built in the 11th century, it houses the relics of Saint Remi, bishop of Reims, famous for having baptized Clovis in 496. This historic site is a masterpiece of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
💡 Tip: take the opportunity to visit the Musée Saint-Remi, just next door.
